Since its establishment in 1989, SPARX has invested primarily in listed companies. However, as times have changed, we have also taken on the challenge of investing in unlisted growth companies focusing on next-generation technologies such as AI and robotics. In 2015, we launched the Mirai Creation Fund, which reaches its 10th anniversary this year. We also looked to the space field as a new frontier to address global issues and launched the Space Frontiers Fund in 2020. This year marks its 5th anniversary. We view investment as a process of spotting the difference in value between the present and the future, and we have maintained a commitment to assessing value regardless of whether a company is listed or unlisted. We will continue to look 10 to 20 years ahead and invest capital for our ideal future.

We have been aiming to shape future industries together with startups that boldly challenge the frontiers of the next generation, such as AI, mobility, and space. It has been 10 years since we established the Mirai Creation Fund, which has invested in about 150 companies thus far, and 5 years since we established the Space Frontiers Fund, which is involved in around 20 companies. We are grateful for the support and trust of our wonderful investors, entrepreneurs striving to impact on the world with their excellent business models and technologies, and many other stakeholders who have helped us achieve this track record. Investment is an expression of confidence in the future, and that confidence comes from in-depth research and face-to-face engagement. We will continue to support companies with technology and ambition to help solve social issues and contribute to creating a sustainable future through investment.
